Paris Memoirs (Tales of Carol's Trip to Paris - from Cooking Clips & Tips Volume 2, Issue 11) Petit Dejeuner à la Française---French breakfast---is a delight to behold and a scrumptious way to start the day. Our hotel offered a complimentary basket of buttery-rich croissants and delectable pains au chocolat (chocolate-filled pastries) with le café (coffee) and l'orange pressée (fresh orange juice), delivered to our room the morning after our first night stay. This traditional breakfast, enjoyed on the open-air balcony with a spectacular view of the Eiffel Tower, was a great way to begin a day of experiencing the life of a Parisian. With a full day to explore Paris before heading to a week of cooking classes at Ecole Lenôtre in Plaisir, we decided to set off on foot---truly the best way to explore the streets and sights of Paris. |
